Cannington in Bloom is backing the UK’s first ever #GivingTuesday, offering local residents the chance to triple their donations to the group through Localgiving’s Triple Tenner Tuesday campaign.

#GivingTuesday, which falls on Tuesday 2nd December, is a global day dedicated to giving back to charities, communities, local businesses, friends and families. Through Localgiving.com, members of the public can give £10 to Cannington in Bloom with the chance that their donation will be tripled to £30.

The Cannington based group will be using the Triple Tenner Tuesday campaign to maximise fundraising on donations made to the group through its annual village bulb planting.

Ray Wardhaugh, Chair of Cannington in Bloom said,

“We’re incredibly excited to be part of #GivingTuesday and hope that the local community will show their generosity and support. We hope that Localgiving’s Triple Tenner Tuesday campaign will help us to maximise the opportunity and raise as much as possible.”

As a founding partner of #GivingTuesday, Localgiving will be tripling 1,000 £10 donations made through Localgiving.com on the 2nd of December, in association with the Office for Civil Society.

Stephen Mallinson, Chief Executive of Localgiving said,

“We’re committed to raising funding and awareness for local charities, many of which don’t have the resources to run large-scale campaigns to encourage donations. We hope that Triple Tenner Tuesday will enable [insert charity name] to springboard their fundraising on this global day of giving.”
